Established in 2015, Alchemy Bakehouse began in a small shopfront in the coastal township of Queenscliff by Artisan Baker Nathan Chinn. Learning his craft at Zeally Bay Sourdough Nathan decided to go out on his own and create his own authentic sourdough and classic French style pastries. Alchemy Bakehouse has since then moved the operation and teamed up with Piknik Cafe where you find authentic artisan sourdough breads, pastries & cakes.

AUTHENTIC SOURDOUGHWe use only the best ingredients to craft our premium authentic sourdough loaves. Flour is sourced from Laucke Flour Mills who source the best grains to deliver the best flours. Great bread is only made with the best flours.

CLASSIC PASTRIES & CAKESNathan is a master at creating classic authentic European style fresh pastries. Butter from Victoria's western district is used liberally in all of our pastries to produce mouthwatering croissants, danishes and other sweet delights. We make all of our cakes, slices and biscuits right here on site. We also produce a great range of hot savoury pies, pasties and sausage rolls.
